Hello There; Josephine Nychole here. I'm sharing my Beauty Hot Five list with you!

Let's be serious; when I hear the words "New" in the beauty world, I immediately start salivating. I become completely obsessed, and want it - NOW. This isn't always possible for a broke college student like me; but I can dream right? Here's a list of Five "New{er}" products that are currently on the top of my wishlist.

Hot Five

1. Lorac Pro Palette 2  ||  42$  || I actually purchased this product the day it became available at my local Ulta. I love my Lorac Pro palette, so I knew I had to have this. These palettes, in my opinion, are far superior to any of the Urban Decay Palettes {I own all three Naked Palettes}. I find myself gravitating towards my Lorac Pro Palette 9 out of 10 times. The pigmentation and creaminess of the shadows are just amazing. I was worried that the first palette was just too good to be true; but thankfully I was wrong. The second palette in this line is just as amazing. A definite must for any beauty lover.

2. bareMinerals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20  ||  29$  || If you can make it past the incredibly long name, this product seems pretty cool due to the fact that it's made by bareMinerals. bareMinerals is pretty famous for their amazing powder foundations. They added the pressed powders to their line {of which I love} so I guess the only next option would be a liquid foundation? It seems to be making some good waves in the beauty community.

3. Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wearing Lipstick  ||  21$  || I am a true lip product junkie; so these definitely intrigue me. I've tried them at Sephora, and WANT one, but 21 bucks is a kind of steep for me right now. They are absolutely at the top of my wishlist though!

4. Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Kit  ||  45$  || When I worked at Sephora I had SO may customers come in asking about contouring. We always hear about it, and want to be able to contour with the best of them; the new Smashbox Step-By-Step kit does just that. It even comes with the brush to do the work; pretty awesome if you ask me. Let's get to contouring.

5. Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Push-Up Liner  ||  24$  || I'm in love with They're Real mascara, so when I heard this was coming out I was extremely excited! I actually received a sample one in the mail a few weeks ago; I'm not sure why I haven't tried it yet - but I just haven't {I think I forgot I had it}. I've watched some YouTube Videos; and it's kind of a hit and miss product - some love it, some hate it. I'm interested in trying it out myself, maybe tomorrow.

Do you own any of these products? Are they a must or a bust?!?

  1. I don't own the Smashbox kit but boy, it looks awesome! I'd love to do some freelance work in the future though, so I can see that becoming handy in someone's pro kit. I use MAC's Careblend Pressed Powder for my contouring needs (: xx

    1. I think that's really expensive for a lip product!! The most I spend is the 15$ for Mac lipsticks!

  4. I've never tried any of these products but i'd love to try the bareMinerals foundation! I've heard amazing things about the powder foundations but that they take a while to build up so i've never tried them, would love to try their liquid one though as all their products i've tried before are such good quality! :)

    1. I do love bareMinerals! I have used the powder foundation in the past; but it's just so messy. Then when the pressed powder came out I quickly purchased it! I actually really like it! :)
